Volunteering

We are reliant on our dedicated group of volunteers who are the lifeblood of our organisation. Our volunteers undertake all manner of tasks, from collecting and distributing the surplus food, sorting and managing the storage, preparing and delivering meals and more. The team varies in age from 17-84 and we have come together from all areas, friendships are made and we like to think of ourselves as a friendly 'can do' organisation.

In March 2021, Jan was awarded the Daily Point of Light award for outstanding individual volunteer - people who are making a change in their community. This was a wonderful recognition not only for Jan but for the hard work done by our 30+ volunteers who collect, sort, cook and deliver meals every week.
